Long Pond Camp -- Beautiful view and private dock on Long Pond near Acadia National Park

It was absolutely perfect and we enjoyed every minute we spent there!!

We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was the perfect place for us! Super quiet and private. The pond was beautiful and 30mins away from everything on the island. It was absolutely perfect and we enjoyed every minute we spent there!! If you have require accessibility accommodations this would not be the best place for you. It requires 20ish outdoor stairs to get to and from the parking spot for the camp.

This is the absolute perfect place to stay when exploring Acadia National Park. It's located on a pristine beautiful pond (it's massive - the size of a lake) complete with bald eagles and its very own pair of loons you will hear each night at sunset. You will have your own dock where you are able to relax and have coffee in the morning or watch the sunset after a day of hiking. It's also adjacent to the public boat launch and swimming area (which was never a nuisance), and the owners also operate the kayak/canoe rental company next store (you get a free rental for staying here!). The grilling and fire pit area are perfect. The inside is quaint and cozy and has relaxing cabin vibes that fit the scene impeccably. It's close driving distance from any trailhead (on both sides of the park) and far enough away from the wild tourism of Bar Harbor that you'll feel like a local. Could not have been happier. Simply put: this place is amazing!

Simply put: this place is amazing! Perfect for families, we stayed there with our 9 month old and were thrilled upon arrival. Since the house has direct lake access both by a small rock staircase and a dock, it was so easy to take our little one for his first swim. I don't think the house could physically be any closer to the lake. So nice to be able to step right outside and take a dip at any hour. Additionally, the outdoor lounge area is landscaped to perfection with both a built in grill and fire pit. The area is super nice as well, there's a canoe/kayak rental right next door and a 5 minute drive to delicious Beech Hill Farm Stand that has fresh produce and local products. Easy drive to get to Bar Harbor, Sand Beach, Echo Lake Beach, Cadillac Mountain and Southwest Harbor. The Host was very gracious and was easy to reach with any questions and concerns. He came and introduced himself to make sure everything was going smoothly. Easily a 5 star rental! - (Jul 2024 - ABNB)
