We had a wonderful week! The location was ideal-just a short drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia, yet tucked away and quiet with stunning views. We were greeted with fresh flowers and chilled wine, such a thoughtful surprise. The owners live on the property and were very welcoming while never being intrusive. Our rental had a private entrance and inviting outdoor sitting areas surrounded by beautiful gardens that attracted wildlife. This has been the cleanest accommodations we have experienced

We have been to several places using VRBO and AirBnb. So far, this has been the cleanest accommodations we have experienced in any of those experiences. Pam and Karl are wonderful hosts. I am not sure how accurately I can express how great they were and how much I would definitely recommend renting this unit. It was a wonderful week. We would love to go back.

This is an ideal setting for a couples get-away.

We rented the Rockbilt Cottage Loft for a week in late October and it was a wonderful experience. The location is conveniently situated to Acadia National Park and the town of Bar Harbor while also being secluded from all of the activity the area brings. This is a private, clean, well maintained, and reasonably priced apartment above the garage of a larger home with a great view of the ocean from your windows and deck with all of the amenities we needed during our stay. There is a path and stairway available from the home to walk to the shoreline which we took advantage of several times throughout the week. A beautiful view and a great place to gather shells during low-tide. While the owners, Pam and Karl, do live on site, they are friendly and non-intrusive. We did get an opportunity to interact with them and enjoyed learning about the history of the home and the area. This is an ideal setting for a couples get-away. It was a downpour when we arrived and an umbrella was waiting along with a bottle of sparkling wine. Concerned about getting a permit for sunrise on top of Cadillac mountain? Don't fret, watch the sunrise from the comfort of your bed! A beautiful eastern vista over the harbor. Both a private patio and deck await as well. We really enjoyed our week at Rockbilt Cottage Loft. It is a beautiful, comfortable space with amazing water views. It's in a quiet wooded area but very conveniently located to Acadia NP and Bar Harbor. The Rockbilt Cottage Loft is a gem. The loft is spacious, clean, thoughtfully decorated, and only a short drive from Acadia National Park and the local attractions. Pam and Karl are gracious hosts. I highly recommend using Rockbuilt loft for a stay on Mount Desert Island.

Acadia National Park is a magical place to visit and 
staying at Rockbuilt loft added to the magic. The park was very accessible; I enjoyed biking the 
carriage roads, hiking trails, walking the beach and roads, cross-country skiing 
on the carriage roads, and ice skating at Eagle Lake and other ponds. Riding 
the carriage roads, you get to experience the silence of nature; bird song, 
brooks bubbling, and the occasional conversation with others who are out 
experiencing the quiet time in the park. 
Rockbuilt loft is a welcoming home after a day in the park. It is a very 
comfortable apartment and is well equipped for a long or short stay. I enjoyed 
waking to the beautiful views of sunrises over Frenchmen's bay or looking out 
on the west facing windows and seeing the iconic evergreen forest scene of 
Maine. Even the gray days were enjoyable; looking out on the snow or rain; 
curled up with a book in this cozy setting. The neighborhood was very quiet and 
the wooded area lent to lovely walks along the roads or to the beach. Rockbuilt 
loft is ideally located near Bar Harbor and Ellsworth. There are theaters in both 
towns; Met Opera, movies, and live theater, Sherman's bookstore in Bar Harbor 
and bookstore and don't miss Rooster Brother in Ellsworth. I enjoyed the Thai 
Restaurant in Bar Harbor, and Choco latte was my go to place for a Mexican Hot 
Chocolate after biking or hiking. Eating in is made easy with shopping at 
Hannafords or A&B Naturals In Bar Harbor. Indoor tennis or pickle ball is 
available at the Ellsworth Tennis Center. 
Adding to the pleasure of staying at Rockbuilt lofts meeting my gracious hosts, 
Pam and Karl. I felt very welcome to Point Lookout and they were readily 
available if I had any questions or needs at the apartment. - (Jul 2022)

It's perfect and has everything,

I can't say enough about this apartment. It's perfect and has everything, is beautifully decorated and comfortable, and the private morning sunrise is breathtaking. It's very close to Acadia and Bar Harbor and all the activities, while also being the perfect spot to "work from home" with the incredible view out to Frenchmen's Bay. We saw birds, seals, and deer from the window and there's a nice private path down to the waterfront. The hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful. We really felt "at home" and will be raving and recommending it to our family and friends! What a beautiful place that's got us thinking if we should leave the city to find our own nook in nature. You will certainly be happy with your choice if you get a chance to book here. Enjoy!

We stayed at Acadia Cottage Rentals' place for a week. The apartment is beautiful and exactly as seen in the pictures. It's very clean, nicely decorated, cute, and equipped with everything you need for your stay. The location is just perfect. You have an ocean view from the windows, it's quiet and close to everything you need. The hosts were very friendly and in general, we had a great and relaxing time.
