Slack Tide was built in the 1940s and the house is filled with beautiful Fir flooring. We love the authenticity of the place and we've tried to retain as much original woodwork and features as possible. The space is quirky, comfortable and so convenient to everything Mt. Desert Island has to offer. There are hiking trails just a few miles away, along with Bass Harbor light house and so much more. Bar Harbor is just a 20 minute drive. Stay on the Quiet Side of the Island and enjoy yourself. Restaurants and shops are within walking distance. Air conditioning in living areas
