Nestled in the heart of Somesville, one of Mount Desert Island's most beloved villages, this beautifully appointed home blends elevated style with the warmth of a true retreat. East-facing windows frame distant views of Cadillac Mountain, wildflower meadows spill across the yard, and white-tailed deer are frequent visitors. Everything MDI has to offer is within a 15-20 minute drive, and a nearby Island Explorer stop puts free island-wide shuttle service right at your doorstep.
 
The Main Living Spaces Step inside to a generous breezeway entry that sets a welcoming tone from the moment you arrive. The updated kitchen is well-equipped for serious cooking, with counter seating for two and everything a discerning chef could need. Just beyond, a sun-drenched family dining room with a harvest-style table and bench seating overlooks the backyard, a perfect spot for casual meals. The adjacent living and formal dining area seats eight and features comfortable seating, a large TV, and a wood-burning fireplace. French doors open to a sweeping wrap-around three-season porch, where sliders frame the front meadow and invite the outside in.
 
The Bedrooms Upstairs, four comfortable bedrooms offer restful escapes with mountain views throughout. The primary suite features a queen bed, en suite bath with a walk-in tiled shower, and a separate whirlpool tub. Two additional queen bedrooms and a room with a double bed and crib share a beautifully appointed full bath with a custom walk-in tiled shower. A convenient back staircase connects the upper floor to the main entry.
 
The Outdoors The property's outdoor spaces are made for long summer evenings, a stone terrace with seating, a firepit, sprawling lawn, and perennial gardens give way to the woods beyond. Parking for 2-3 cars is available, complete with a basketball hoop for some friendly competition.
Good to Know An attached private apartment (with a separate apartment above the garage) is part of the property and may be available to rent separately during your stay, ideal for larger groups or added privacy.
