Great small cottage tucked in the woods.

Great small cottage tucked in the woods. Was quite with only one house close. Within 30 minutes of most of the island. Clean house, the master bed was comfortable, kitchen was well equipped. Wonderful experience all around.

Everything an Airbnb should be.private, homey, and felt like traveling back to the good days before everything was commodified. So refreshing to find a fully stocked kitchen and helpful things like bug spray and a flashlight. I loved that there's a guestbook dating back two decades. This place was perfect, exactly what we were hoping. I will say to that it is larger than what it looks in pictures. We enjoyed listening to seals in the evening and Loons in the morning. Coffee and quiet sounds of nature in the morning or a glass of wine for sunset. It was an ideal, central location that allowed us to explore the island easily. Downtown Bar Harbor is overrated so we were glad to have a place a bit more secluded. Sweet Peas is a must do. We had a fabulous dinner and it's located with Bar Harbor winery only 15 minutes away. The cottage had everything we needed. Schoodic Point and Peninsula are worth the 1 hour drive. Other highlights were driving Park Loop Road and renting bicycles at Acadia Outfitters in Seal Harbor for a day of riding the carriage trails. - (Nov 2023 - ABNB)

Overall, we had at great stay at Seal Rock.

Overall, we had at great stay at Seal Rock. We went up to Maine for our elopement and the privacy and views of this cottage did not disappoint! Everything was as expected. The only downside was we lost power about 3 hours after getting there and it didn't come back until the next evening but this was due to nature and not a reflection of Acadia Cottage Rentals. They were very responsive and tried to make accommodations for us. - (Oct 2023 - ABNB)

It was private and so quiet-I loved sitting at the water's edge.

My husband and I had a fantastic stay at this cabin for our first Maine/Acadia adventure! It's about 20 minutes from everything, but that privacy is what we wanted. There are great food options nearby, just takes some planning with the hours/season! This was a great base camp to explore Acadia without the touristy hustle and bustle that is Bar Harbor! It was private and so quiet-I loved sitting at the water's edge. The leaves had started changing and the weather was crisp, which was great for hiking. Personal notes: 1. The main mattress was so-so. After being there a week I was definitely ready to not sleep in it anymore. 2. The hot water was gone after we (2 adults) took our showers. There was no lingering or meandering to soak sore muscles. 3. The heaters were great, but they struggled when it was nighttime in the 30s/40s outside to keep the place warm. More of a reason to bundle up under the covers though! Would we stay here again or recommend it? 100% yes! - (Oct 2023 - ABNB)

This cabin was absolutely perfect.

We loved our stay in Mt. Desert! This cabin was absolutely perfect. What a beautiful location! Loved watching the sunsets down by the water. Cabin was clean and so so cozy. We loved sitting down by the waterfront to enjoy gorgeous sunsets and watch the wildlife

We spent a wonderful week at seal rock! A beautiful cabin located on the quiet side of the island tucked into the woods but boasting a beautiful waterfront view. . We spent the week exploring the island and hiking in Acadia and loved coming home to seal rock each day. It's the perfect place for a couple as it's mostly a studio with a loft. It's only about 20 minutes from bar harbor but there were other food options closer to the cabin that we explored during our stay. We would absolutely stay here again! - (Oct 2020)

Beautiful, clean, adorable cabin on the water.

Beautiful little cottage that was perfect for our family of four. Waterfront "beach" was beautiful and we spent almost every evening sitting on the chairs provided overlooking the beach watching the seals on the rocks during sunset. Quick drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia. Cabin had all amenities listed and were in great condition. Beds very comfortable. Cabin was spotless. Great kayaking spot.
