This place is fantastic!
This place is fantastic! Incredibly beautiful and peaceful spot right on the water. I've stayed at a lot of camps in Maine and this one is my favorite by a landslide because of the views and solitude. It was also great for our toddler. A pack n play fits easily in one of the bedrooms, the shower stall is spacious so we had no issues using our baby tub inside it, and the rocky beach was so fun to explore (lots of oysters to look at!). We even had 2 wildlife sightings right from the house: a fox and a family of river otters! Highly recommend this place. - (Sep 2025 - ABNB)

This was magical!! A beautiful cozy home with magnificent views of the lake. Comfortable & relaxing, very peaceful and private. Very safe !!! Kitchen had everything you needed to plan meals, there were extra blankets and fans. Kitchen big enough to dine at the table with others to enjoy a meal together with the family, all while overlooking the lake. Nice size TV in the living room and a bonus tv in one of the bedrooms. The towns & attractions are a short 20-30 minute drive and well worth it. Must visit Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. I would definitely stay here again. Do your research on Cadillac Mountain-you need to have a reservation & also buy a park pass. Thunder hole is a must see as well as Jordan Pond Lake. .Many trails to see & definitely eat lobster. You're in Maine so lobster & blueberries are a must. PS the beds were so comfy & at the night the cool breeze fills the home. We will be back. Thank you for a truly memorable time and relaxing home on a lake. - (Aug 2025 - ABNB)

This place exceeded our expectations.
This place exceeded our expectations. Listing photos don't do it justice. Whole back of the house, from end to end, is windows looking out at that fantastic view, and the open space (kitchen, dining, living room all in one) made it feel airy and spacious, despite its small size. It manages to combine an old-world quaintness and hominess, reminiscent of centuries past cabins, with modern amenities (updated bathroom, great kitchen sink, fully functioning windows with great screens and shades). Nice ceiling fans in the living room and a bedroom, additional fans available (not listed in the amenities)- we were quite comfortable, despite no AC. Labeled light switches were great.Glad we brought a camp table- allowed us to eat on the deck. Not much outdoor furniture provided. Table and umbrella would be nice. Grill was not functioning and didn't get fixed while we were there. Not as quiet as hoped, noise from road a bit distracting. Swimming at high tide was fantastic. Nature watching joy! - (Jul 2025 - ABNB)

Charming cottage in a peaceful setting with a beautiful view
The cabin reminded me of the lake cabins where I grew up in Minnesota. Even though we had heavy fog most mornings and evenings during our stay, we enjoyed the beautiful views of the bay from picture windows. The cabin was clean and well-appointed and we had everything we needed for our stay. The property has been in the Smith family for several generations and it was interesting to see the photos of the family through the years. We spent the days sightseeing and the cabin is conveniently located to Bar Harbor, Acadia, Schoodic, and other areas making for easy day trips. The people at Acadia Cottage Rentals were easy to work with and had left us a nice welcome package of good area maps and brochures, as well as a wonderful jar of Maine wild blueberry jam! We hated to leave the little cottage and would definitely come back again some time! Thank you!
