We had a very comfortable stay and the 'cottage apartment' was very clean. It was relaxing to sit on the front porch and watch the geese around the pond! It was nice and quiet and extremely clean.

We really enjoyed this property. The convenience to the parts of the island, especially Bar Harbor, was great. It was nice and quiet and extremely clean. We would stay here again. The owners live next door and are very friendly. They discovered a little issue before we got there, were very communicative about it, and got it fixed asap.

Overall it was fantastic.

Beautiful, cozy home in a fantastic location. Felt quite secluded, the trees helped block out most of the road noise. 
Reasonably well stocked kitchen, enough cookware to make a few meals. 
Only major problem we had was the lack of cell service; Just outside the home we had signal, but inside it was slow if there was signal at all. This wasn't a big deal with Bar Harbor and Acadia so close by, plenty to do other than be on your phone, but worth mentioning.

Great location!

Great location! We caught the bus at the end of the driveway once, but then drove into the Acadia Visitor Center ourselves every day after that because it worked better with our schedule. It was less than a 10 minute drive to Acadia and there were multiple food and ice cream places on the way. The place itself was clean and had everything we needed. It didn't have WiFi (which we knew from the listing) but we all had at least some cell service at the house. We would definitely recommend! - (Aug 2024 - ABNB)

Got to see some wildlife around the pond, including eagles!

There were 4 of us staying here for a week, and there was plenty of space. Didn't feel cramped. Originally I had some concern about there being just one air conditioner, but it cooled down the whole place just fine! The location was excellent, just far enough outside Bar Harbor to be away from the crowds, but close enough to gead into town whenever we wanted without it taking too much time. The house being back on a private drive also cuts down on traffic noise compared to many of the other hotels that are right on the main roads. The outdoor space was wonderful, we used the grill multiple nights to cookout and eat on the balcony at the picnic table. Also got to see some wildlife around the pond, including eagles! The owners were very friendly as well. This was a great place to stay for a week, and I 100% would stay here again next time I'm in Maine! Date of arrival - July 13, 2024

10 Pond View was a wonderful place to stay. It was clean, cozy and comfortable. Nice and private location. Convenient to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the screened porch while watching the ducks at the pond. No wi-fi but we were able to get service on our cell phones. A great home away from home. Second time my wife and I have stayed at this rental and if able, we would do it again. Although it is a little dated, it has all the things one needs while relaxing away from home. We got the chance to meet the owners and they were unbelievably accommodating and friendly. Acadia Cottage Rentals was a great air bnb. The place was located just 15 minutes from downtown Bar Harbor and less than 30 minutes from anywhere on the island. Lots of hiking available, just a 15-20 minute drive to Cadillac mtn. There is a Walmart plus other shopping options about 15-20 minutes in Ellsworth. The air bnb was the cleanest I have been to, absolutely spotless. It was easy to find, we had lots of space and privacy. I would definitely recommend staying here. We had an enjoyable experience in a great location!

We stayed for a week and slept comfortably every night. The pond was such a wonderful perk- my kids and husband fished every night after dinner. The house had everything we needed with a few minor things that could be improved upon. We ran out of hot water taking showers (there were 2 adults and 2 kids) after hiking all day so we learned we had to space them out at night and not all shower in a row. The silverware looked very loved so we bought plastic ware we used during our stay. The master bedroom bed was very comfy but would've loved for it to be a smidge bigger. The perks of the home certainly were the great location, beautiful setting with a gorgeous back yard/deck (we played Yahtzee every night out there!), fun pond to fish in, comfortable living room furniture/beds and everything you need for cooking in the kitchen! We loved having a washer and dryer bc we packed light and hiked often! We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back here on our next trip to Acadia!! Thank you for opening your wonderful home to us- we loved it!

Pond View - Five Stars

Property is well kept and maintained. Apt was spotless and well appointed. I liked the Kanes very much and happy they live on the property. The pond was so relaxing to watch with its ducks, Canada Goose and big Blue Heron who dropped in daily. This vacation spot has a 5 star rating as far as I go.

A delightful cottage

My husband and I love this place! This was our second summer to stay here. We loved it so much last year, we returned again this year. It is a nice size cottage on a large lot. It has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, and a full kitchen. It is quiet, peaceful, and very comfortable. It is also very close to Acadia National Park. There is a pond just steps away where you can see ducks and geese and some fish. The owners of this cottage, Bill and Claudia, are delightful and very kind. We will definitely be returning to this wonderful property.

Beautiful pet friendly appartment!

The apartment is super clean, full of light and a wonderful breeze! the backyard and front yard were perfect for our 3 year old dog. We are already planning on going back again!

Comfortable place, beautiful view

My wife and I stayed at the house in June as we toured Acadia National Park and the surrounding area. The house was clean and comfortable. The sun porch looks out on a scenic pond. This location is a great place to relax and enjoy the Maine attractions.
