Cole Cottage, will sleep up to 6. The larger chalet-style 2 BR 1.5 BA cottage has open plan living with a wall of windows overlooking the Bay. The high ceilings, comfortable furnishings and views make for an ambiance of real relaxation. Cole has a queen master bedroom on the main floor and a large open loft bedroom with a king bed and two XL twin beds.

Next door is Cross Carriage House, a sweet little 2 BR 1.5 BA charmer featuring a waterside deck, with access to the huge wide lawns and beach areas.
The setting inspires relaxation, a unique place to really experience Mt. Desert Island's natural environment while only a few minutes' drive from the Visitor Center of Acadia National Park and the Village of Bar Habror.

Sorry, no fires allowed on the beach.
Rates include the cost of normal departure cleaning.
All houses are fully equipped, including linens and dishes.
Refundable security deposit, 9% Maine State Sales Tax and a $25 nonrefundable booking fee are not included in the rental rates shown.

Ideal private location right on the coast

Excellent location!!
Excellent location!! We loved waking up and walking the beach. My daughter literally spent hours skipping stones. Make sure you walk to the ovens during low tide. Communication was quick and they had great recommendations when asked! - (Jul 2025 - ABNB)

We had a moose in our front yard!!
We had a wonderful stay at Cole Cottage...topped off by coming home to a very large moose in our front yard that trotted in front of our truck...that was absolutely amazing, still talking about that big boy!! The house is very conveniently located, easy driving to different locations, easy access to acadia Park. The staff at acadia Cotage Rentals couldn't have been more friendly or helpful...my husband left a pillow behind that he uses for back pain. I contacted acadia Cottage Rentals and we had the pillow back within 3 days!! house is situated on lovely Frenchman's Bay, with breathtaking sunsets and sunrises...wonderful beach with a sandbar far into the water, amazing rocks to climb and explore. The house is a little dated, needs some updating...I would strongly suggest redesigning the stairs to the basement, they are a little treacherous! Might also consider turning the 2 basement bedrooms into one big bedroom, and elevate the ceilings so they would be more usable. Other than that, we had an amazing time and loved our trip. Would definitely come back.
