The carriage house and location are amazing!

The carriage house and location are amazing! This is the cleanest property I have ever rented, including hotel rooms. The kitchen/living room is very well appointed and comfortable for cooking and relaxing with the family. It is up to date and the appliances and furniture are very new. Our beds were comfortable and the blankets were plentiful (if needed). There are fans in every room. Our weather was 70s in the day and cooler at night, so the fans were mostly not needed. The location is perfect for access to the Island Explorer bus (15 minute walk to the bus stop). We loved the rocky beach, the tides, and the sunsets. This is a cottage that has been thoughtfully used and cared for. We could feel the history of years of enjoyment and family togetherness here and wish we could have stayed all summer! - (Aug 2026 - VRBO)

We found this cottage a perfect place to stay while visiting the area.

Our group was two couples and we found this cottage a perfect place to stay while visiting the area. It was clean, had a well-equipped kitchen, lots of towels, good water pressure and the property was very pretty. The deck and grill area seemed ideal but the weather prevented us from using it. The place had lots of nice big windows and it was secluded enough to not feel watched but not too secluded to feel scared. The property rental company was really great to work with and the website lists and links of things to do practically planned our whole trip around Bar Harbor and the park. Alan was very helpful and answered my silly "out of towner" questions and gave good restaurant recommendations.

The location is fantastic

This is our second time staying at the Carriage House. The location is fantastic: 5 minutes to Acadia, 10 to downtown Bar Harbor, and right on the bay with a neat rocky beach to walk on. The cottage itself is cute, well-decorated, and has plenty of room for a family of four. Looking forward to our next stay! - (Jun 2025 - ABNB)

We had a wonderful stay at Cross Carriage House

We had a wonderful stay at Cross Carriage House. It is small as it is a carriage house but you didn't feel like it inside. The open space kitchen/living area was quite spacious and was well stocked with everything you need to cook meals. We loved that they provided some spices and sugar along with some paper products. We loved the gas grill as well. I would note that the second floor bedroom/half bath has a sloped roof so if you are average tall to tall you would have to watch that you didn't hit your head. We enjoyed the Adirondack chairs and chaise lounges as well as the beach chairs while hanging out at the beach at low tide. The proximity of the carriage house to the beach was key and provided many hours of fun beachcombing and soaking up the peaceful vibes of the water and views. I would highly recommend Cross Carriage House to anyone who wants a home base on MDI close to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. It was only a 15 minute drive and you are in Bar Harbor! - (Sep 2024 - ABNB)
