We had a wonderful stay in Bar Harbor. The pictures of the house didn't do it justice, it was much brighter and more open in person. It was very clean and a perfect location to walk anywhere you want in town or out to the sand bar. Also only a few minutes drive to Acadia! All the bedrooms were upstairs either on second or third floor so keep that in mind when booking but it wasn't a problem for the three generations we had staying there. They provided everything we needed and we appreciated the blackout blinds in all the bedrooms. We highly recommend this home and would happily stay here again if ever back in Bar Harbor! - (Nov 2025 - ABNB)

Very clean, excellent location in walking distance of all of downtown bar harbor. The third floor patio offered a view of the bay. Ample parking, was a great place to enjoy Acadia and Bar Harbor and surrounding. Expandable table was. Nice touch. We could have a puzzle out and still have room to eat. Temperature comfortable with upstairs AC when it got warmer, but generally the open windows were plenty. Had a breaker go and lost power to a couple rooms. Told the host and they got it fixed before we came back from our hikes, it was like it had never happened. Everything you would need in the kitchen. Great location! Walking distance to everything in Bar Harbor! 3 bathrooms was nice when everyone was getting ready in the morning. If you are traveling with a child that needs a crib, you need to communicate with them about that as it is not left in the house by default. Also, the A/C unit is on the top floor and while it does a great job keeping that room on the 3rd floor cool, it can get quite stuffy and warm on the 1st and 2nd floor. Highly recommended property.

We stayed at Hurley Cottage for 4 weeks without a car and we never needed one. We were able to walk to Walgreens & Hannaford (grocery store) for necessities. We hiked every day using the Island Explorer buses to make point to point hikes. Morning coffee with a slice of blueberry pie on the master suite balcony was a highlight of the trip. Everyone had a great time.

It was very convenient. Easy walking to everything in downtown Bar Harbor. We walked around town every night. There was room for 2 cars. I would caution taking a big suv. The road is narrow and always has cars parked on the other side of the street. The house was very clean. Looked like fairly fresh paint. Beds were comfortable. We took our grown kids and there wives. Hurley Cottage was a wonderful place for our Bar Harbor vacation. It was a prefect location for walking to restaurants, shopping and access to water excursions. Never paid a penny for parking. Two spots available at the house. It accommodated our 6 people very well with 2 1/2 baths and 4 bedrooms. Kitchen was well equipped. Washer and dryer on site. Nice and clean. Our stay in August consisted of 4 adults and two 22 month olds. The place was great. Definitely 5 stars overall and well worth the price. Pretty much everything about the house was great. The only knocks I have are below. The AC is one single mini split in the stairwell for the whole house. The humidity can get high and it doesn't get the whole house very well. I slept on the third floor and it was fine with the door open, but the second floor bedrooms were tough to get cool. The only hand soaps were the tiny bars of soaps that you get from a hotel and there were no tissues. The railings outside did not have spindles so it was a little dicey with young ones, but we just held their hand every time we went out. The main floor is a finished concrete floor which isn't the best for kids as it's just always a hazard when they're running around. Overall the positives greatly outweigh the negatives which is why this listing deserves 5 stars. I would certainly stay again. - (Sep 2023 - ABNB)

Seriously, this is the perfect family base to enjoy Bar Harbor and Acadia.

Ugh- this is one of those reviews where I don't want to admit how amazing this place is because then there won't be availability next time!!! Seriously, this is the perfect family base to enjoy Bar Harbor and Acadia. The interior is huge! The bedding was very comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed. And the washer/drier are perfect for a family looking to minimize luggage! We felt like we were all alone when we closed up for the night or even for nap time despite being in the middle of the bar harbor tourist area. And that's the best part: we walked to everything we wanted to see or visit in Bar Harbor and were a very quick drive from Acadia. It was literally the perfect location.  
The management company and owner were very easy to work with and provided prompt, professional communication and helpful tips about the area. 
If we ever make it back to Bar Harbor, we will 100% try to stay here again. - (Aug 2023 - ACR)
