We loved this house.

We loved this house. It is perfect for a family of 3 or 4. Great location on a quiet street but only a block from everything. It was very clean inside. They had everything we needed including coffee. The only thing to be aware of is that the booking and payment process was unusual because they use a private rental agency. This group was extremely friendly, responsive, and helpful. However, I spent almost an hour with VRBO trying to figure a few things out. Also, this home adds a large 3.5% credit card charge which is OK; but it was not fully disclosed prior to booking. The whole experience was stressful.We would love to stay here again and highly recommend this home for anyone visiting Bar Harbor! - (Aug 2025 - VRBO)

Great location to all shopping and restaurants.

Great location to all shopping and restaurants. Very clean with grocery stores, pubs, bike rentals etc just a couple blocks away. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the front porch watching the fireworks over the tree vs having to go elbow with the large July 4th crowd. The host had the Cottage well stocked with amenities and having a washer/dryer combo was perfect for our needs. Having a parking spot was a game changer being that it was the start of busy season. Short walk into the main area of town and to the grocery store. We had a wonderful time at Chez Acadia! The location couldn't have been better. You are a couple of blocks from the supermarket, bike rentals, and wonderful food. The place feels spacious and also cozy, and is extremely well-stocked (towels, pillows, dishes, games, books). The owners live above and have dogs, so there is occasional dog barking, and you can hear them come up and down the stairs (on the outside of the house, not the inside). We had such a great visit in Bar Harbor and Chez Acadia was a very brief walk to the harbor, the restaurants, trails, parks, etc! Loved the private parking! This was an ideal location for Bar Harbor

This was an ideal location for Bar Harbor grocery store, shops, restaurants and access to and from the Explorer Shuttle at the Green, and a crosswalk drop off at the end of the day, one street over from High Street. Beds were comfortable, throws were cozy, kitchen was great, with minimal cooking basics, eg salt, pepper, tea, coffee more like a hotel room. Lovely front porch with outdoor furniture offered views of lovely homes, B&Bs, walkers, etc. we did use the parking space next to the house. - (Sep 2024 - ABNB)

Everything is walkable to Bar Harbor and many places in Acadia

Bethany and Don made us feel right at home! They live on the top private floor and the entire bottom was our own private space..it was so comfortable, had everything we needed and just felt like home. If you love front porches, this is the place! The off street parking is amazing because parking is at a premium in this area, so if we we're out all day, we did not have to worry about finding a parking space. Everything is walkable to Bar Harbor and many places in Acadia. Even if you have to drive to a hiking point, it's not far. Our family's time at Chez Acadia was magical

Our family's time at Chez Acadia was magical. The house was beautiful and so comfortable. When we arrived, it was spotless and very welcoming. The location was absolutely perfect. Located on a quiet street, a few blocks from the main part of Bar Harbor, we all loved strolling through town to restaurants and shops. We parked our car and walked everywhere. We all decided this was our favorite vacation to date, and it is in large part due to Chez Acadia. Definitely recommend. We'd give it 10 stars if we could. We're hoping to return next year.

The owners live upstairs and are very nice(without being intrusive), it is extremely walkable to all Bar Harbor restaurants and activities and it is very close to Acadia. We could not ask for more from staying at Chez Acadia Air B and B. The location is perfect. Walkable to all of Bar Harbor restaurants and stores. It is also walkable the the shore line path which is beautiful and the Bar Island sandbar hike. It was also very nice to have a grocery store just 3 blocks away. We went a few different times. Chez Acadia is within 10 minutes of Acadia National Park. We were hiking and sight seeing much of the week there. We took the 1 hour 15 minute ride to schoodic point (other side of Acadia). It is worth the trip. We drove to Camden Me and visited a light house. Chez Acadia was super clean and had a great shower with good water pressure. It was warm the week we were there but the air conditioning did the trick. The owners live on the second floor which would be convenient if there were any issues but we had none. We did meet Donald one morning and he was super nice. I would recommend Chez Acadia by far and would stay there again! - (Sep 2023 - ABNB)

An absolutely wonderful place in Bar Harbor.

An absolutely wonderful place in Bar Harbor. The location is perfect: easy to walk to all parts of town and a quick drive or ride to the park (bus hub is just a few minute walk). Stroll to watch the sunset from the park and eat at your choice of many restaurants. It's also only a few blocks from the land bridge to Bar Island. The space itself was perfect for our family of 4 with two tweens. Perfectly spotless with plenty of space to relax and have meals.
