An ideal base to get the maximum enjoyment out of this beautiful area.

We enjoyed our stay at David's Bar Harbor Apt. very much. The location was excellent, being in a quiet part of town but within a 10-15 walk to everything. The pictures of the apt. don't do it justice as it is more spacious than it appears and very cute. All the amenities one would need are there including a washer/dryer that was very handy for us, as well as off-street parking. We met David in person and found him to be very helpful and attentive both when we arrived and when we left. We had a great time in Bar Harbor and would recommend David's apt. as an ideal base to get the maximum enjoyment out of this beautiful area. - (Sep 2025 - ABNB)

It felt like staying in someone's tidy and well loved home.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was very convenient for walking to the shops and restaurants in Bar Harbor. It was also very close for exploring Acadia. The location was our main reason for booking this stay, and it was exactly what we were hoping for. There were also some unexpected bonuses. The hot water was strong (almost too strong? but hey you can always turn it down). We also appreciated having a stainless steel frying pan instead of a cheap sketchy nonstick, which is frighteningly common at other vacation rentals I've stayed at. The bed was nice and firm, which, to me, was a nice surprise. I liked that the decor was minimal and felt authentic. No weird fake plants or Ikea-esque artwork to be found. It felt like staying in someone's tidy and well loved home. Everything you need. No more, no less. Our hosts were very kind, helpful, and responsive, and they have the cutest dog named Jesse. I so enjoyed my stay in the little cottage on Myrtle Avenue. It was the perfect location to start all of my adventures and a short walk to downtown. The owners were attentive and friendly and their place was just perfect for my week long stay. it had all the amenities to start you off and a short two block walk to Hanford grocery to stock up on all the essential items. I felt right at home in my private little haven after a long day of hiking or biking or whale watching. Myrtle Avenue is a quiet, sleepy street lined with lovely flowers and adorable homes. It's just a hop, skip and a jump from the main Cottage Street shops and the hustle and bustle of downtown Bar Harbor. I hope to return very soon and explore more of this lovely little paradise. We loved this house!

We loved this house! It was a perfect size for the two of us to stay for a week. Small, but you never felt like you were on top of each other. It was so walkable and had a spot in the driveway, so you could leave your car there whenever you wanted to go into town. It was also an easy drive to Acadia. It was on a very quiet street, but just a few blocks away from the excitement of Bar Harbor. It is a very quick walk to tons of restaurants, bakeries, shops, the grocery store and just a short drive to the breathtaking hikes and views of Acadia National Park. We had a fantastic stay at this rental right in the heart of downtown Bar Harbor. The location couldn't be better-everything you need or want is just a short walk away, from restaurants and shops to the waterfront. Trailheads and Acadia National Park entrances were just a quick drive, making it super convenient for daily hikes. Great space on a quiet street

Great space on a quiet street. Lots of places to sit for a single bedroom rental. Older home, but updated and clean! Front porch chairs were great for morning coffee and a comfy bed. Kitchen is big enough to create complex meals. Bathroom absolutely spotless with NO smells. This first floor was perfect for me. With prices rising up with the popularity of this vacation town, it's challenging to find something reasonably priced. I travel alone and don't need a lot of space. It was very clean and I had plenty of space. Being a 10 minute walk from the 'heart' of Bar Harbor is really nice. The Mount Desert Bakery around the corner has some of the BEST fresh baked pastries, breakfast sandwiches and coffee. I had questions about parking and they were answered fast, and they were kind enough to have signs printed up to make it clear. I'd stay here again if/when I return! - (Oct 2023 - ABNB)
